Description

The course is designed for those who want to understand how complex projects really work, beyond the theory of processes and tools.
Starting from the structural characteristics of the projects, the path analyzes the role of the organization, of stakeholders and the power dynamics that influence decisions, priorities and results.

Through the analysis of the main organizational forms and informal governance mechanisms, the course shows why the Project Manager almost always operates in a context of limited authority and how he can exert influence, leadership and government ability even without direct hierarchical power.

Particular attention is paid to stakeholder mapping, to the definition of roles and the management of critical relationships, with the aim of transforming the project organization from a constraint to strategic lever for the success of the project.

🌍 Context and prospects

In complex projects the problem is not just "planning" or "controlling", ma govern a system of actors, organizational interests and constraints.
Every real project takes place within a context of sponsors, stakeholder, corporate functions, suppliers, customers and chains of authority that profoundly influence decisions.

In this scenario, the Project Manager rarely has full formal authority. It must operate in matrix structures, in functional organizations or EPC contexts, where decision-making power is distributed and often conflicting.

This course helps you understand how these systems really work: how to read the context, how to map stakeholders, how to interpret organizational structures and how to exercise leadership and influence effectively, even when formal authority is limited.

📊 Why participate

This course represents a fundamental introductory form for those approaching project management or want to consolidate their foundations. It is designed for:

This course is essential for those who work in projects but feel that:

  • decisions don't just depend on plans,
  • conflicts arise more from organization than from technique,

👤 Why follow this course with me?

This course was born from my direct experience in complex projects, where success or failure did not depend only on the quality of the plans, but by the ability to move within complex organizational structures, with powerful stakeholders and often divergent interests.

As an advisor and project controller I have seen that several times project problems arise earlier in organizations than in timetables.
This is why I built this module as a conceptual and operational basis for all the other courses: planning, cost, EVM and project control only work if you understand chi decide, who influences and how authority is exercised in the project.
